Individualized therapy to help you create a more authentic, meaningful, and vibrant life
We don’t have to do all of it alone.
We were never meant to.Brené Brown
The decision to seek therapeutic support can be a scary one and finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. It takes real courage to show up for yourself and start the journey towards healing and growth. Life is messy, and we all experience struggles, pain, and confusion. But we don’t need to figure it all out by ourselves. Within a safe and welcoming space, I can help you to explore what is holding you back from living the life you want, and to learn new ways of being in the world.
Therapeutic change isn’t about changing who we are. It’s about rediscovering our true selves and healing the parts of us that are wounded, so we can let go of the things that are keeping us stuck.
Reconnecting to our true self is hard work but it can also be empowering and transformative. Let me help you create a more authentic, meaningful, and vibrant life.
You were meant to flourish.
Hello! I’m Christina Larsen, Registered Clinical Social Worker, licensed through the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW). I have been a practicing therapist in a variety of settings since 2003. I am also a social worker and worked in that capacity for 8 years before completing my Masters in Clinical Social Work. For me, being a social worker is not only my profession but also a way of being in the world. It means living from a place of curiosity, empathy, compassion, and wholeheartedness, whether I’m wearing my Therapist hat or my Living My Life hat.
I live, work, and play in Edmonton, Alberta on Treaty 6 territory and Métis Region 4, the traditional and ancestral homeland of many diverse First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples.
Helping people find their way back to their authentic self is my favourite part of this work. I am always so moved and humbled by the challenges and barriers that people face, and their strength and courage to overcome them. I have a special interest in working with people who are exploring gender identity or sexual orientation, are living with mood challenges, are healing from developmental or ancestral trauma, and who have experienced heartbreaking loss. Despite the differences in these challenges, the work of reconnecting to our true self is the common thread. Within each of us is a wisdom and strength that can guide us on a path of profound healing and growth. As novelist Jane Austen wrote, “we have all a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be”.
Let me help you find your guide.
You are not too old and it is not too late to dive into your increasing depths where life calmly gives out its own secret.
